La pequena Ariacne se empino desde sus 9 años.El timbre de su voz -su galillo,como  sentencian los del campo- rompió el silencio de quienes acudimos a presenciar las dotes de aquella garganta.Y mientras se observaba a la damita de minas con soltura desplazarse sobre el escenario con su voz del sinsonte enamorado,cuentan los entendidos y los más desentendidos que la garganta de ariacne va a dar qué hacer.  Estoy seguro que su melodía se va a oír.

BIOGRAPHY

Grammy nominee Ariacne Trujillo Duran is considered one of the virtuoso pianists,arranger and vocalist from the New York area .She was born in Havana, Cuba, where she had an extensive career since age 4,as a classical concert pianist and composer,performing at age 14, with the tops Cuba’s symphonic orchestras.Since she arrived in New York City in 2002,Trujillo has been leading numerous significant projects as well as working as a lead singer, arranger, pianist and director for the position for the off-Broadway production “Carmen to Havana and Back.”

STYLE

Trujillo’s unique style derives from the integration of her
countless professional participations mixed in with her
intrinsic musical instinct. Her music characteristically
carries a special treatment of the implicit rhythm of the
“Tumbaos” mixing the traditional Cuban music with
“Timba” and classical highlights; charged with aggressive
harmonizations with great technical complexity and creativity. In the musicality of her solos and improvisations
you can appreciate, aside from her technical ability, a
masteful conceptually designed structure and content –
often while singing lead in her powerful and endlessly
flexible voice. Vocally, her technique stems from an
Opera background with an extensive and sometimes
slightly raspy range where she constantly phrases and
uses techniques of R&B, Funk and Blues, Jazz, Soul.
